1-Meter Qualifying Meets

- Warm-ups begin at 7:00 AM for the first event (9 & Under boys and girls) and end at 7:45AM
- The meet begins at the time designated by the hosting club on the meet schedule.
- There will be a 45 minute warm-up for the next event immediately after the prior event is finished.
- The order of events is:

#4A 14-15 Boys #4B 14-15 Girls
#5A 12-13 Boys #5B 12-13 Girls - The meet director has the right to combine events to expedite the meet.
- Awards to the top six places.
- A diver that has already qualified as a Novice diver during the current season can attend another qualifier to try and qualify as a JO diver.
Coaches: Make sure that your divers know where the meet sites are. If you are not sure, consult the directions to SJDA Clubs posted on this website.
1-Meter Championships

Order of Events*
- The order of events is:

#4A 14-15 Boys #4B 14-15 Girls
#5A 12-13 Boys #5B 12-13 Girls - Novice and Junior Olympic divers will dive at the same time.
- *The order of events is subject to change depending upon the number of divers and events.
Dive Sheets
- All dive sheets must be turned in at the coaches and representatives meeting on July 16th.
- Two (2) dive sheets must be completed. Make sure the dive list selection conforms to the dive level requirements.
Rules
- If a diver qualifies as a JO diver in a qualifying meet, then he/she must dive as a JO diver in Championships. If he/she dives novice and are caught, he/she will be disqualified.
- Divers must compete in their age group session at the Championship meet.
Awards
- Novice – Top 12 places (1-4, Medal; 5-12, Ribbon)
- JO – Top 8 places (1-8 Medal)
- Team – Top 3 Teams (Trophy)
- Points for both novice and JO combine for team
- Scoring is on a 7-5-4-3-2-1 basis.
*2018 Update: 1-Meter Championship Qualification for Senior High School Divers
The SJDA wants senior high school divers to be able to compete in the 1-Meter Championship Meet even if they do not meet the qualification score.
A senior diver must meet the following criteria:
– Attend at least 1 qualifier meet.
– Meet all age group requirements for a complete dive list.
